Partners for a Cure 5K Walk Fundraising Program

The 2009 PFAC 5K Walk is a fun way to not only keep in shape but raise money to help cancer patients with the high costs of treatment, medicine and health services. Maybe your doing this walk for your mom, dad, best friend or cousin, regardless, we thank you for your support.

The PFACF Fundraising Program is a grassroots fundraising effort made by participants in the Walk. This is a way for our runners and walkers to really personalize their effort to battle the financial devastation cancer can cause. We highly encourage everyone use the Fundraising Program to raise money directly, for families and individuals with cancer.

How it works:

Each registered participant will be provided with their own online page that accepts and keep track of donations. After you register you will be emailed the link to your own page to fundraise. You can easily personalize the webpage's colors, add a photo and text, set a collection goal, and even email your friends and family to invite them to make a donation. They can donate using all major credit cards and even leave a message on your page. You can also use a pledge sheet and collect cash or check donations that way too. Try both!

Start a Fundraising Team!

Start a contest at the office, with your book club, your bowling team or any other club or organization to see who can raise the most money for the Walk. It's simple and fun, create a team when you register or join a existing team. Give it a try, who knows how much you can raise, the sky's the limit!

BECOME A TEAM CAPTAIN, BUILD YOUR TEAM

• Register yourself as the Team Captain and set up your Team on the website with a fun name.

• Recruit, recruit, recruit! Try for at least 10 others to join your Team online. Make sure they know the Team name. Help with online registration if necessary.

• The most important thing a Team Captain can do is to create a personal relationship with every Team member to provide support and encouragement. The small personal touch and support you provide will make the difference to your Team.

TEAM MEMBERS

Every Team member can create a pledge page too. All pledges from Team members will be counted towards the total Team fundraising goal.
